Care you won't forget

Time and again the feedback we receive - not only from residents but from families and loved ones - highlights the outstanding quality of care provided at Waverley Lodge. Our highly skilled and knowledgeable team strives day and night to deliver care that goes above and beyond our residents’ needs.

Meet the team

Under the leadership and guidance of Registered Manager Jenny Wheeler, our team is committed to delivering first class care and exemplary service to our residents at all times.

Registered Manager

Since starting as a care assistant at New Forest Nursing Home in 1987, Jenny has devoted her career to working in the care sector. She studied at college to complete her access to higher education before commencing nurse training at Southampton University in 2003, continuing to work at New Forest Nursing Home for the duration of her studies. Upon qualifying as a Registered General Nurse in 2006, she moved to Waverley Lodge Nursing Home, a specialist centre for adults aged 18 to 65 with a variety of care needs. She has been at Waverley Lodge ever since, enjoying an immensely rewarding and satisfying career as she’s worked her way up through the ranks. Now, as Registered Manager, she works closely with her dedicated team to deliver exceptional care to Waverley’s residents. In her time off, Jenny loves reading, going to the cinema and eating out.

When her hands-on nursing career was curtailed by back problems, Catriona resolved to continue working in the care sector. She studied to complete an NVQ2 in Business Administration, enabling her to move into an administrative role within the company. Now, with eight years’ experience under her belt, she has developed a broad skillset and a fulfilling career helping others in a role that rewards her people skills. A keen reader, she also enjoys spending free time with her son and being out and about in the local area.
My sister is cared for extremely well with great care and love. I couldn’t ask for her to be in a better home and am extremely grateful to all the wonderful staff, who are also very kind to me when I visit.

Personalised Care

Person-centred care is a cornerstone of Allegra Care’s philosophy - and nowhere is this more true than at Waverley Lodge, where our team care for a wide range of resident profiles. As with all Allegra Care homes, our first priority upon admission is the establishment of a personalised care plan in conjunction with the resident and their family / carers. This plan is then regularly monitored, reviewed and adapted to ensure it continues to fully address all resident needs over time.
