24-hour peace of mind

Delivered by our highly qualified and experienced team, proactive nursing, respite and dedicated dementia care are on hand to offer peace of mind around the clock. Our sophisticated nurse call technology allows care to be as unobtrusive as possible, respecting and protecting resident privacy and dignity.

All care packages are person-centred. Specific care requirements and preferences are assessed and discussed with residents and their loved ones upon admission, enabling a personally tailored care package to be designed. Care delivery and resident wellbeing is then continually monitored. If adjustments are required, these are fully discussed with resident and family before any changes are made.

Our dementia care and facilities are second to none. Delivered in a dedicated dementia suite, we provide exceptional care for varying degrees and types of dementia, including Alzheimers. Advanced technology is available to monitor, profile and support residents’ movement – particularly valuable at night, when disorientation can be more likely to occur. Automated lighting systems guide residents to the bathroom and back, and the system triggers a nurse call alert if the resident leaves their room or deviates from normal behaviour profiles.

Training and qualifications

Delivering outstanding levels of care with genuine warmth and compassion is central to Allegra Care’s ethos. From management, nursing and care personnel to the catering team and auxiliary staff, all of our dedicated team have been hand picked for their personal attributes and their professional qualifications.

The benefits of a modern, purpose-built home are perhaps most evident in our exceptionally spacious and beautifully appointed bedrooms. All 80 rooms benefit from large windows which make for a bright, airy ambience, enhanced by restful, contemporary décor. Ground floor rooms also enjoy private garden terraces. Residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture, pictures and personal effects so as to feel as at home as possible – familiarity provides comfort and helps minimise disorientation.

Varied seasonal menus

Nutrition is at the heart of healthy living and optimal wellbeing – and dining should be a social occasion that brings people together. Choosing from tempting menu options, enjoying a glass of wine with lunch, chatting over after-dinner tea or coffee… these are everyday pleasures that our residents savour. The head chef and kitchen team take great pride in producing varied, seasonal menus using fresh, local produce. We go to great lengths to ensure that all dietary requirements and preferences are observed and residents are welcome to request their own favourite recipes.

Breakfast, lunch, teatime or dinner, residents are welcome to dine in one of the air conditioned dining rooms, in our licensed Barnaby’s Bistro and Bar or in the privacy of their own room. As with everything else at Cherry Blossom Care Home, it’s all about personal choice and feeling completely at home.

Family and friends

Residents’ lives are greatly enriched by socialising. This applies to their interactions with fellow residents and staff and, even better, visiting family and friends. For this reason, we operate a completely flexible visiting policy – family and friends are welcome to visit whenever they like, with no appointment necessary. By making access easier for loved ones, it means residents can enjoy more frequent visits. Seeing our residents’ faces when family and friends pop in is one of our greatest pleasures.
