Nicola

Home Services Assistant

Home Service Assistant Nicola has been part of the Cherry Blossom Care Home team from day one. Before joining Cherry Blossom as a Care Assistant, she worked for ten years as a manager in jewellery retail. Her transition to a service assistant role was driven by excellent customer care skills and her passion for making a difference in people’s lives.

Nicola welcomes all visitors with a warm smile and assists them according to their needs. One of her key roles is helping prospective residents, family and friends with tours of the home - a responsibility she maintained during the pandemic, with all the rigorous safeguarding restrictions that entailed. A daily visitor to our residents to deliver their newspapers, Nicola knows the value of simple pleasures like a chat and a laugh.

She is also a key member of management team, helping in the daily running of the home in aspects such as organising supplies, recruitment of staff, interviews and meetings with management. Well-liked by staff, residents, their relatives and friends, glowing feedback consistently highlights Nicola’s sunny disposition and calm efficiency.
Mum always seems happy and content, so that makes me feel the same. Staff are always happy to answer any questions I have. And lots of smiles from the moment I walk in to reception. Thank you.

Son of Resident, October 2024
I visit my friend weekly and have been very impressed with the facilities available to both visitors and residents. The staff are welcoming and friendly and appear to be caring towards the residents. There is a bistro cafe on site, where we can help ourselves with hot drinks and or biscuits, etc. It gives a lovely opportunity to relax with residents.

Personalised care in action

No two people are the same and, at Cherry Blossom Care Home, we ensure that each resident’s care plan meets all of their individual needs. Dignity, privacy and the appropriate level of independence are our top priorities. This is why we take the time to talk to new residents and their loved ones prior to admission to establish a tailor-made package of care and support.
