Most of our staff have been working at Olive Tree House for years, enabling us to guarantee not only continuity of care, but also friendly, familiar faces and a warm, family atmosphere where residents can feel truly at home. From our nursing staff and activity coordinators to our support and kitchen teams, everyone is aligned with our philosophy of individual, compassionate care
Olive Tree House is a modern, purpose-built care home, located in Charlton Hayes near Bristol, less than a mile from Cribbs Causeway. With 65 spacious bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, the warm and welcoming accommodation is matched by the personal 24/7 care.

From nursing, convalescent and respite to specialist dementia care, Olive Tree House has been specified and equipped for the delivery of exceptional care. In addition to luxurious lounges and dining rooms, each floor enjoys its own activity, relaxation and multi-faith rooms, giving residents flexible options for active and fulfilling lifestyles. Residents are also able to move freely between floors, with a separate lift within the secure residential section of the building.
The dementia-friendly roof garden offers fabulous views across Bristol, whilst facilities such as the sensory room, library and 1960s themed hair salon make valuable contributions to day to day living. Meanwhile, our groundbreaking Memory Lane enables residents to step back in time, improving their psychological well-being through the proven benefits of reminiscence therapy. With “The Concorde”, our 60s themed café/pub, the “Revolver” record shop and McCarthy’s village store, residents are able to enjoy an attractive and stimulating destination that has drawn media coverage, care sector acclaim and imitations across the UK.

Support you may be entitled to
When you choose a care home in England, you may be eligible for NHS Funded Nursing Care (FNC), which helps cover the cost of nursing. This is currently worth £267.68 per week and is usually paid directly to the care home.

From day one, we’ll create a personalised care plan, you can visit as and when you wish, and you’re encouraged to bring personal items, pictures, and furniture to help make your loved one’s room truly their own.
Each resident’s personalised care plan is regularly reviewed by our expert care teams. Whether to respond to changing needs or simply make them feel happier and more comfortable, we’ll proactively adapt plans as necessary.
Families are absolutely welcome to visit at any time, and be a full and active part of an Allegra Care community. We’d simply suggest considering when staff’s busiest times are likely to be and, if possible, to give some advance warning of very early visits or planned outings.
