Life at Allegra Care

An Allegra Care care home is a welcoming and vibrant place where residents, loved ones, and staff feel they belong. We understand that food, fun, and friendship are as important as compassionate care, and far more important than strict schedules and rules.

Our philosophy

A safe and comforting home-from-home

Allegra Care strives to make every one of our homes a friendly, inviting place where residents thrive. We foster a family-oriented atmosphere for residents, loved ones, staff, and local communities to enjoy one another’s company and forge true friendships.

We’re redefining how care is delivered in the UK by always keeping people at our heart. That means having highly-skilled, compassionate staff deliver truly personal, expert care that provides residents with joy and independence, and their loved ones with the utmost peace of mind.

Hospitality & Dining

Fresh & delicious food, enjoyed together

At Allegra Care, we understand that each meal is an event. That’s why our hospitality teams make and serve beautiful dishes befitting the occasion.

Varied menus offer something for everyone, strive to include seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients, and are tailored to each resident’s unique dietary needs.

Each mealtime, too, is an ideal opportunity for our care communities
to come together, socialise, and forge friendships.

Bedrooms at Allegra Care care homes are beautifully and carefully furnished as standard. The finishing touches that make them a home-from-home come from you.

Residents and loved ones add treasured paintings, meaningful photos,
cherished mementos, and even favourite furniture to make things just right.

Privacy and comfort

Residents’ rooms offer privacy, comfort, and dignity, as well as all the facilities they need.

Personality and familiarity

Every resident can make their room their own with
familiar and meaningful belongings.

Independence and freedom

Catherine
Sales Manager

Catherine has worked in sales and marketing her whole career, after graduating with a degree in Textile Management she worked in Corporate Workwear for many years. Catherine’s first role in the care sector was working with a disability charity that ran nursing homes and enablement projects for young adults.

Catherine

While her two children were younger, she joined her husband in his estate agency, but was delighted to return to the care sector in 2020 and now cannot imagine doing anything else.

Catherine’s role with Allegra is to support residents and their families as they explore care options. Working with the teams in the individual homes she ensures that during every stage from initial enquiry through to moving in with us every question is answered, and we offer the reassurance needed for the next chapter in our resident’s life. It is important for our residents to remain part of the community in which will have lived for years, often all their lives, so the other part of this role is connecting with local community groups, charities and organisations.

Catherine has said that working for Allegra with their groundbreaking household model means we are offering a home with compassion and care whilst ensuring residents are retaining their independence and quality of life.

Out of work Catherine enjoys baking and gardening The children are older now, but still keep her busy!
