Care tailored to you, here in Cambridgeshire

Everything needed for a rewarding day-to-day life, including expert care, delicious meals, and fun activities.

Recent statistics show that 1 in 6 over-80’s in Cambridgeshire have a form of dementia. The impacts of this condition are being felt by more individuals and families than ever before, with an estimated increase of well over 30% since 2012.

In order to offer the best possible support to an elderly relative at home, it’s important that family carers have the opportunity to “come up for air” and re-charge their batteries from time to time.

The disorientation and distress of dementia can pose many changes and challenges, including restlessness and aggression. Rather than blaming the individual, it is important to react empathetically.
A key element of our Service Philosophy
The Household Model approach to care is both modern and non institutional and is a new outlook in delivering service and care in the UK.
It is shaped by our core principles and desired behaviours contained within our philosophy. Our goal is to create an environment which becomes a community.
A space which residents recognise and feel at home. Personal choice, natural rhythms of the day, and meaningful life underpin the model. We seek to ensure all residents enjoy well-being.
The Household Model gives residents back their purpose, their genuine sense of self, and a chance to continue with their daily hobbies, habits, and interests which provide them with joy and independence.
A home designed for comfort and wellbeing
Many of the 43 spacious private rooms at Blossom Fields enjoy tranquil views out across open countryside. Residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture and personal effects to further enhance the reassuring home from home comforts we strive to provide.
Stimulating mind, body and soul, an interesting and varied programme of activities is a cornerstone of our approach to care. There’s something for everyone, from arts, crafts, and gardening to cooking, singing and armchair aerobics.
Using local produce in season whenever possible, all meals are freshly prepared on-site in our superb kitchen facilities. Residents’ dietary requirements and preferences are carefully noted upon admission.

What Cherry Blossom means to our residents’ families
Everything else you need to know
All Allegra Care homes provide dedicated residential nursing care, with respite, long-term, and end-of-life provisions. People helping people is at our core, and that expert care prioritises warmth, compassion, and empathy.
Some Allegra Care homes, too, are able to offer additional specialist care. That can include dedicated dementia care, empathetic support for those exhibiting behaviours that challenge, specialised help for young people with disabilities, and more.
Care costs are just one of many aspects involved in choosing the right care option for your loved one. We understand, however, the importance of clarity when it comes to fees and funding. That’s why we invite you to get in touch with one of our friendly teams and discuss fees, funding options, and your individual needs.
The Household Model is a key part of Allegra Care’s philosophy and how we redefine the way care is delivered in the UK. At its heart, it’s about making each home a welcoming environment for residents, loved ones, and staff.
Residents retain their independence and sense of self, while feeling part of a fun and dynamic community where they can make real friends. They can maintain hobbies and habits, their loved ones can drop by whenever they like, and they forge genuine connections with carers and staff.
You can absolutely visit an Allegra Care home if you’re interested in learning more or think it may be a good fit for your needs.
It’s quick and easy to schedule a tour of the home that may suit you. Our friendly team will be delighted to show you around and to answer the questions of any prospective residents and their families.
Any new resident at an Allegra Care home can expect a warm welcome. We’re dedicated to ensuring that everyone feels at home. Rather than being focused on rules or schedules, we’re focused on people. That means whatever your loved one needs to settle in, we’ll do all we can to accommodate.
From day one, we’ll create a personalised care plan, you can visit as and when you wish, and you’re encouraged to bring personal items, pictures, and furniture to help make your loved one’s room truly their own.
Each resident’s personalised care plan is regularly reviewed by our expert care teams. Whether to respond to changing needs or simply make them feel happier and more comfortable, we’ll proactively adapt plans as necessary.
Families are absolutely welcome to visit at any time, and be a full and active part of an Allegra Care community. We’d simply suggest considering when staff’s busiest times are likely to be and, if possible, to give some advance warning of very early visits or planned outings.
Allegra Care operates a family of quality homes across central and southern England.
Including everything from modern, purpose-built properties to elegant country residences, our homes serve Hampshire and Dorset, South Gloucestershire and Somerset, Cambridgeshire, and Suffolk.
