About Cedar Lawn

With two elegant lounges and a bright and airy dining room, there’s plenty of opportunity to socialise and enjoy good company at Cedar Lawn. Using fresh ingredients - locally sourced whenever possible - the kitchen team prepare and proudly serve delicious, wholesome cuisine. Dietary requirements are rigorously observed and nutrition plans meticulously designed to meet each resident’s individual needs.

There are 28 bedrooms - most with en-suites and four with access to specialised bathrooms where enhanced or assisted accessibility is required.  Rooms have been designed to make the very most of the original period architecture - some opening out via French doors onto lawn areas, others with full height sash windows offering splendid views across the well-tended gardens.

All bedrooms are neutrally decorated and tastefully furnished, with wall-mounted TVs and profiling beds. Alternatively, residents are welcome to bring their own furniture, pictures and personal effects for added familiarity and more of a “home from home” experience.

Dignity, privacy and independence

In keeping with Allegra Care’s philosophy of care, all staff exhibit compassion and professionalism in equal measure. Compassion and kindness ensure that each resident is afforded all the dignity, privacy and independence they should expect without question. Professionalism is underwritten by comprehensive and ongoing training which ensures that every single member of staff is appropriately qualified and fully up to speed with the latest approaches and standards of care.

Whilst it enjoys historic character and delightful period features, Cedar Lawn also benefits from the very latest amenities, including 24 hour nurse call systems, specialised lifting equipment and profiling beds. Everything needed to deliver first class care is on hand, enabling staff to provide incomparable levels of service in an elegant and refined setting.

To this end, Cedar Lawn provides a stimulating and engaging programme of group and individual activities - both inside and outside the home. In-house activities include appropriate levels of gentle exercise, arts and crafts, and pastimes such as flower arranging. With our own minibus and driver, we are also able to take advantage of the riches the local area has to offer. From sightseeing trips to New Forest beauty spots to fish and chips by the sea; from trips to local shops, cafés and pubs to churches and events, residents are able to experience the very best of their environs.
