May Day Celebrations

Creating May Day Crowns

The first day of the month of May started with a May Day Celebration.

May Day Crowns

Taking inspiration from the traditional crowning of the May Day Queen the residents made their own floral crowns.  They looked fabulous with the gorgeous colours of spring flowers and the smell around the home was wonderful.

Residents Write May Day & Spring Poems

Residents then put pen to paper to write poems about May Day, spring and flowers.  It was very uplifting to hear about how spring is a new beginning and how fortunate we are to have such an array of colour in the homes’ gardens and courtyard.
