Our care and nursing homes in Cambridgeshire

The county of Cambridgeshire covers a large proportion of East Anglia, and is characterised by its low-lying, flat terrain and picturesque countryside. The Fens, an unspoilt 200 square mile tract of land between the county’s principal towns of Peterborough and Cambridge, has changed little over the centuries, dominated by agriculture and traversed by an extensive network of rivers. An area rich in history, its four vibrant market towns of Whittlesey, Chatteris, March and Wisbech are popular destinations for locals and tourists alike.

The world-renowned university and county town of Cambridge is recognised for its stunning historical architecture and notable alumni, from Sir Isaac Newton to Alan Turing. Peterborough, meanwhile, is a cathedral city on the River Nene and the county’s largest settlement with a population of over 160,000 and rising, with significant recent investment in housing and regeneration of the city centre.

Situated to the north of Peterborough, Cherry Blossom Care Home was acquired in 2021, and is Allegra Care’s first home in the county.
