The residents and team at New Forest Nursing Home love a party, and VE Day provided the perfect opportunity!
Our residents always love celebrating Victory in Europe Day, which usually entails getting the Union Jack bunting out and indulging in some sweet treats.
Prep was well under way at the beginning of the month with residents planting flowers in the sun and crafting away.
When it came to the actual party, everyone was excited to see the decorations they’d created dotted around the Home.
As we celebrated the 77th Anniversary of VE Day, friends and family visited their loved ones to join in the party spirit.
The sun came out to make the day even more enjoyable whilst music played, flags were waved, and everyone danced and chatted.
It was a great afternoon, and we’re glad familiar faces could pop-in to help us celebrate. Here’s to next year (we’ll start the party planning soon)!
