What is residential care for adults with disabilities?

Due to the nature of many physical and learning disabilities affecting those aged 18-65, residential care for this group tends to be over a longer term than elderly nursing care. As a result, residential care at Waverley Lodge means it genuinely becomes “home” for many of its residents, with some there for upwards of eight years and counting. This is borne out by the strong sense of community and camaraderie that’s immediately apparent upon arrival.
