At our Cherry Blossom Care Home, in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, the residents and care team always enjoy sinking their hands into a fun creative project. Surrounded by beautiful Hampshire countryside, the residents recently decided to bring a touch of the farm indoors by crafting their very own cardboard cows.
A Lively and Creative Project
The activity proved to be a fun, lively session that filled the home with laughter, teamwork, and plenty of imaginative flair. Residents worked together, cutting, painting, and assembling their bovine masterpieces. This type of arts and crafts activity is wonderful for engaging fine motor skills and encouraging social interaction.
When Cows Go "Moo!"
The best part of the session was undoubtedly when the residents proudly presented their creations. Of course, no farm animal crafting session is complete without sound effects - and the residents had great fun making their cardboard cows "moo!", adding to the cheerful and playful atmosphere.
