All Day Celebration for VE Day 80 at Rose Garden and Olive Tree House

VE Day 80

All Day Party

It was an all day party at Rose Garden and Olive Tree House to celebrate VE Day 80!  The decorations looked amazing, the cream tea was delicious and with live singers at both homes some residents even attended both performances!

Family Performance!

There was a wonderful atmosphere with so may classic war time songs including "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square" and "We'll Meet Again" ending with one resident's daughters leading the singing on "Land of Hope and Glory" - everyone was singing along.

It was lovely to have so many families join their loved ones and many residents from Olive Tree Court also joined the party.

Patchway Mayor Visit

Thank you so much to Dayley Lawrence Councillor and Mayor of Patchway and Town Clark for Patchway Town Council Sue for attending the homes' event.  Both took time to visit residents in their rooms as well as chatting to residents who were able to come outside to join the party.  Both joined in the fun and whilst also a day of reflection the smiles show how much everyone enjoyed today's celebration.
