Community Spirit at Christmas
Christmas was the perfect opportunity to celebrate the local Patchway community with Rose Garden and Olive Tree House's Community Coffee Morning and out in the area visiting local businesses and delivering Christmas cards.
Local Support
The home welcomed the clergy from St Chad's Church in Patchway, volunteers from Holy Family Catholic Church, residents from Olive Tree Court and families from the homes. Mandy, Liz and Catherine served up hot chocolates, coffees, mince pies and merriment including a Christmas sing a long.
Christmas Gifts were handed out to the wonderful Volunteers to show everyone's appreciation for all their Hard work and Kindness.
Christmas Fundraising Raffle
Congratulations to Brian the winner of the Christmas Hamper raffle, this has raised £103 for Help Bristol's Homeless Charity as well as collecting items to donate.
Local Business Support
Thank you so much to local Chinese Supermarket Konbini who have donated fabulous keyrings for the residents, made from recycled shuttlecocks; their volunteer group have been working hard making these gorgeous festive items, this was so thoughtful.
There was as always a lovely welcome from Charlton Heights Happy Days Nursery who are next door to Konbini, Olive Tree House and Rose Garden are fortunate to be surrounded such a warm community.
