First Harvest at Rose Garden

Grow Your Own

First Harvest at Rose Garden

Three months after sowing the seeds for the Rose Garden gardening project, residents were able to harvest the first vegetable, beetroot.  Gardening promotes physical and emotional wellbeing, it is relaxing and as shown there is a tangible end result.  Residents have been watering and tending the vegetable patch and everyone is looking forward to seeing what is ready next.

Kitchen Garden

The Rose Garden chef was delighted to have home grown produce from the kitchen garden and is going to make a delicious beetroot soup.  Natural, fresh, nutritious and well-presented food is so important for all, but it becomes even more so for those living with long term health conditions and a reduction in appetite.  The Rose Garden team ensure smaller meals offer a balanced, varied and healthy diet.

Setting Standards in Care

Nutritious home made-food is not the only aspect of care that sets Allegra Care apart, the absolute focus is on each individual resident.  To find out more and book a tour of Rose Garden please contact the team.
