Garden Watch at Dunwood Manor Nursing Home

Flowers in Dunwood Garden

Spring has sprung at Dunwood Manor

Spring has sprung at Dunwood Manor, and our residents are revelling in the beauty of the season! With warmer weather and sunshine peeking through the clouds, they've been eagerly venturing outside to witness the magic of their gardens coming alive.

Dunwood Manor's garden watch

We've initiated a delightful program called "Garden Watch," encouraging residents to explore the blossoming beauty of our grounds. Escaping the occasional spring shower, residents bundle up and head outside for invigorating walks. Their eyes light up with delight as they spot the first signs of spring – vibrant crocuses pushing through the soil, cheerful daffodils unfurling their petals, and the delicate dance of butterflies flitting between blooms.

The sensory joys of spring

These outdoor excursions offer residents much more than just a visual feast. The fresh spring air invigorates the senses, the gentle chirping of birds fills the air with melody, and the sweet fragrance of blooming flowers creates a truly immersive experience.

Connecting with nature and memories

For many residents, gardening has been a lifelong passion. "Garden Watch" allows them to reconnect with nature and reminisce about their own gardening experiences. Sharing stories and knowledge about flowers with fellow residents fosters a sense of community and connection.

Where life blooms year-round

At our Dunwood Manor Nursing Home in Hampshire, we believe in creating an environment that promotes not only physical well-being but also mental and emotional stimulation.
