Our Grove and Blossom Fields care homes in Winterbourne, Bristol, had a fantastic gentleman's afternoon at their own pub.
Memory Lane Pub
The homes have their own Memory Lane with pub, record store, post office, grocers and bus stop. Entering the pub is like stepping back in time with some great pub memorabilia. There are tankards and ash trays as well as bar stools to perch on. The big hit was the dart board.
Music from the Record Store
With so many alcohol free options available today the team purchased a range of beers, ciders and wines which meant all the residents could enjoy a drink. Traditional bar snacks included pork scratchings and scampi fries. This was all accompanied by terrific music from the record store including The Who and Buddy Holly.
Celebrating Father's Day
All the gentleman are looking forward to the next visit to the pub and we raise a glass to all dads, grandads and father figures this Father's Day.
