West Country Traditions
The West Country is famous for many things from cider to Cheddar cheese and Glastonbury Festival would definitely be in the top 10. The Grove decided they were going to hold their own five-day festival to run alongside Glastonbury– The Groovy Grove Festival.
Glastonbury Comes to The Grove
The home looked amazing from giant flowers to The Groovy Grove camper van. Residents even tie-dyed their t-shirts to wear on the Headliner Day, it was messy and fun! Deputy Manager, Angela even joined in to make her own creation.
Headliner Day
The Headliner Day started with some serenity with a mindful tai-chi session with Eeva from Alive Activities, what then followed was the care home party of the year! Thank you to Rock with Benny and Andy T for being the headliners and entering into the spirit of the day, both pitched the music just right. The Grove team were brilliant; joining in withsome great outfits, getting up and dancing and getting the residents involved. There was a break from the dancing with festival food, thank you to the kitchen team for some perfect festival food!
