VE Day 80 Brings Community Spirit
The Grove residents and team had an action packed day celebrating VE Day 80. Everyone looked fantastic entering into the spirit of the day.
Even before the afternoon's party a group of residents and staff went along to Winterbourne Parish Council's VE Day 80 Coffee Morning. This was a wonderful community event for all ages with the children from the pre-school and primary school attending. There were delicious home-made cakes and everyone was made so welcome.
The Grove Street Party
The Grove held its own street party during the afternoon of VE Day 80. Local singing group The Crossbow Singers performed many classic wartime songs all accompanied by a traditional afternoon tea. There was a real party atmosphere, thank you so much to the Crossbow Singers for making the day all the more special.
