Everyone came together to create an afternoon of fun and music for the residents, their families and the choir. Allison Brown, choir leader says, 'We absolutely love taking the children to share our love of singing with the community. The children gain so much, not only from performing but also from the conversations that they have afterwards. It's a wonderful opportunity for different generations to get together and share stories.'
One of the residents Jenny couldn’t stop smiling said “they are so lovely, I thoroughly enjoyed their singing”
Bianca the home manager agreed with Allison “At Cedar Lawn we feel it is really important to bring the local community into the home and the residents particularly enjoy when the Halterworth school children visit as it reminds them of when their own children were young and they love telling them their stories, the children bring so much joy to the home”
