If You Go Down to the Woods Today......
It wasn't quite the woods, but Winterbourne Library's glorious garden; Blossom Fields and The Grove residents had a fabulous time at their teddy bear's picnic.
A Welcome Invite
Thank you so much to Debs and all the team at the library for inviting the homes along to this perfect summer event and as always making everyone so welcome.
Home-Made Cakes Donated
The homes' marvellous kitchen team made cup cakes to take along for all the children attending as well as a delicious picnic lunch for residents and the team who went along. A couple of the volunteers from the library also joined residents for lunch. It was so relaxing, residents enjoyed reading some books after lunch including reminiscing about childhood games only to find the library have an area outside where children can chalk and this certainly brought back memories of hopscotch!
Fruit Picking
The library's trees are bearing fruit in abundance this year and residents took the opportunity to pick plums and apples to take back to the homes.
The teddies also enjoyed their outing!
