Inaugural Dog Show at St Georges a Big Success

Dog Show

Bumper Dog Day!

St Georges are lucky to have dogs visiting most days but for the inaugural dog show it was a bumper dog day with 33 dogs in the courtyard who had entered into the rnge of classes.

Canine Class

Every dog was gorgeous and St Georges would like to thank Georgina and Rosemary from local charity Dog Friends for taking on the very tricky job of judging.  Resident Val also supported the judging along with Activities Coordinator Zoe for "Best in Show". Congratulations to Walter who won the accolade of "Best in Show".  There were stories of survival from the "Best Rescue" Class, some fabulous outfits for "Best Dressed" and all the children did so well in the "Child Handler" class.

Family Day

It was a real family day and St Georges were delighted to welcome so many people who were visiting the home for the first time.  Thank you to the hospitality team for a marvellous selection of cakes some even in bone and dog shapes!

Supporting a Local Charity

The event raised a fantastic £241 for charity Dog Friends, resident Val was delighted to hand over the proceeds of such a memorable day at St Georges.
