Residents at St George’s Nursing Home in Somerset Enjoy an Egg-stra Special Easter Bank Holiday Weekend of Fun and Creativity

One of our lovely residents happy celebrating Easter with us

What a great Easter bank holiday that was at St George’s Nursing Home in Somerset!

Good Friday kicked off the weekend's celebrations nicely, full of Easter-themed fun and games alongside a visit to Lowe’s Pottery. Here, residents and staff alike got the chance to paint and decorate a variety of wonderful egg cups and plates, experimenting with a variety of colours and shapes, letting their creativity run wild! The result was some beautiful, unique and bright pieces on show at the end of the morning that, once glazed, can be given to the residents to use for dining at St George’s and be forever proud of.

Sunshine and Smiles Around!

By the afternoon the sun had decided to put its hat on and we headed outside for even more excitement, like egg and spoon races, racing rabbits and Easter hoopla! Together we had an absolute blast, laughing, being silly and dare we say it, some of us showing our competitive side.

A Tasty Treat to End the Day...

Of course, we had to round the day off with some Irish coffee and mini egg sweet treats - it’d be rude not to! It’s safe to say there was laughter and happiness in the air, much like every other day at our Allegra Care homes!
