Our Rose Garden residents in Patchway, Bristol greatly enjoyed a morning at the Patchway Memory Café.
Residents Enjoy Local Memory Cafe
The Patchway Memory Café is run completely by volunteers and is held at St Chad’s Church Hall on the first and third Monday of each month. The team and residents received a warm welcome with even table service of tea, coffee and cakes. The daughter and granddaughter of one resident also joined the activities teams and residents, everyone chatted before the week’s activity.
Chair Based Exercise Class
This week’s activity was an exercise class ran by instructor Nina. Nina got everyone in the packed hall involved in her chair-based exercise class which was very much designed so all of those attending to join in, coupled with some perfect songs including “Dancing Queen” and to cool down the calmer “True Love Ways” there was lots of singing as well as exercise!
Going out into the Community
A thoroughly good time was had by all, it was an opportunity for residents to go out into the local community and join in with a group in Patchway. Everyone is looking forward to the next visit.
