What a fantastic day at St Georges with everyone so enjoying the summer fete.
Full House at St Georges
The home was packed and what a pleasure to see all ages coming together for a traditional fete. Children of all ages loved the hook a duck and sweet bags! The party atmosphere didn't stop when the fete finished with the live singer continuing to entertain residents.
Supporting Local Charities
The local PCSOs from Avon and Somerset Police came along to chat to visitors and residents. St Georges are keen to support local charities and this year held the tombola in aid of Weston Hospicecare which raised an amazing £80. There were also stalls from Worle Lions Club and Aishah's Food Charity who raised £79.75 selling food at the fete which will go towards their work in Weston-Super-Mare providing hot meals for those in need.
Team Work at St Georges
The St George's stalls raised a fabulous £176 for a special residents’ seaside outing in September. Thank you so much to everyone who donated and helped today and big thanks to Zoe and Louise the home's fabulous activities team and Jacob from the hospitality team whose delicious home-made cakes sold out and delicious burgers, sausages and salads went down a storm.
Another busy day at St Georges!!
