Cedar Lawn residents were delighted to meet their new Minibus driver, Shawn, who took them for their first outing to Hilliers Garden Centre. Beryl was so happy, she was singing away at every opportunity.
After looking round the garden centre everyone then sat outside at the cafe in the shade, drinking filtered coffee and watching a little blackbird eating the cake crumbs that had dropped from the table next to them.
In the shop, Beryl loved being able to choose her own cards for relatives’ birthdays, and Jenny and Activities Coordinator Sandy chose some Sweet pea and nasturtium seeds to plant in the autumn, Jenny loved being able to buy them herself, as it brought back past memories of looking after her own garden and making sure there were flowers all year round. The staff at Hilliers garden centre and coffee shop were very warm and friendly ensuring that everyone managed to get exactly what they wanted.
