It was a heart-warming day at St Georges in North Somerset as the home were honoured to celebrate beautiful Phyllis' 100th Birthday.
Team Work on Preparations
In the run up to the big day residents devoted their time to preparing to make it a super special day for Phyllis. The residents wrote notes of special memories with Phyllis and made-up sweet boxes all to add to the stunning decor.
St Georges' School Children Meet a 100 Year Old!
During the week Phyllis enjoyed a visit to St Georges Church School where the children presented Phyllis with a wonderful card and gifts as well as sharing cake. The children were amazed to have met a 100 year old! This was such a special afternoon for Phyllis who loves children this will be such a cherished memory.
Weston-super-Mare Mayor Joins 100th Birthday Celebrations
For the big day itself today Phyllis enjoyed a day of visits from family and friends. The Home's hairdresser Kim made a special visit on the morning to ensure Phyllis looked the part for her 100th Birthday celebrations. Phyllis partied the afternoon away with a surprise visit from The Mayor of Weston-super-Mare, Councillor John Crockford-Hawley. The Mayor really was one of the gang, dancing and joining in the celebrations. The Mayor congratulated the team for such a wonderful atmosphere within the home, everyone so appreciated him taking the time to be part of the celebrations.
There were so many wonderful moments for Phyllis to remember. Happy 100th birthday Phyllis.
