That's the Way to do it!
That's the way to do it! It certainly was for a great winter beach day at Blossom Fields!
Sand Art
The morning was spent getting creative with sand, residents selected colours to make pretty sand jars. Resident Ruth is a talented artist, and she cleverly slanted her colours to give real impact, the bright colours were the most popular with all the residents, but when they tried the black it gave a different effect with a strong contrast. It was also surprisingly relaxing watching the sand run through the funnel and seeing the pattern each layer created.
Hay Day of the British Seaside
The afternoon was back to the hay day of the British seaside with a visit from Paul Wheelers Punch and Judy and it was such fun with Punch, Judy, the policeman and sausages! Residents remembered watching Punch and Judy on holiday as children and then with their own families. Paul took time to answer questions about the show and its history; it was fascinating that he was bequeathed the theatre to ensure the legacy of Punch and Judy continues.
The day ended with chips in paper with plenty of salt and vinegar, everyone definitely did want to be beside the seaside!
