About Rose Garden

First opening in 2020, Rose Garden has been purpose-built for the delivery of exceptional residential and dementia care for the elderly. The home is located in Patchway, just to the north of Bristol, and offers 40 luxurious bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms.

communal areas

Cleverly designed for peace of mind

Rose Garden benefits from the very latest thinking in care home design. An open-plan approach to communal areas minimises corners and blind spots, giving care staff excellent sight lines. Large lounges open into dining areas, with a bright, open sense of space that’s also homely and welcoming, thanks to beautiful interior design and furnishing. Mindful of residents’ vulnerability to falls, there’s discreet CCTV in communal zones and hallways, so staff are able to keep a watchful eye, whilst infra-red security sensors in all bedrooms provide instant alerts in the event of incidents.

care with smile

Caring with a smile

Rose Garden has a tight-knit care team, whose infectious camaraderie makes for a vibrant, happy atmosphere throughout the home. Residents’ well-being and quality of life are our top priority, and our wonderful, dedicated team are never too busy to stop and share a friendly chat and a smile with our lovely residents.

Effective elderly care is enhanced by adopting a holistic approach that balances each resident’s physical and mental health needs, as well as their emotional, spiritual and cultural beliefs. Celebrating capability and capacity, we focus on what each resident can do - rather than what they can’t. Nowhere is this more important than with dementia care, which is immeasurably improved through the stimulation of memory and mental activity. Time and again, families comment on the improvement they see in their loved ones and their enhanced psychological well-being.

Fulfilment through activity

in addition to the sociable setting of our lounges and dining rooms, where residents with different care profiles can mix, chat and relax, we have further wonderful facilities that contribute to full and fulfilled daily life. Sit back and enjoy a movie in our retro cinema, or pop into Rosie’s Tea Shop, our vintage café, for cake and a cuppa.

Residents are also able to enjoy the amenities at our neighbouring Olive Tree House, including dementia-friendly roof gardens, a sensory room, IT suite and library. Then there’s Memory Lane, a ground-breaking facility that takes residents back in time with a 1960s hair salon, village pub, quaint village store and retro record shop.

great food

Good food at the heart of great care

A balanced, healthy diet is an essential component of effective elderly care. At Rose Garden, we’re lucky enough not only to have commercial grade kitchens, but also a restaurant quality chef, preparing delicious wholesome food with local, seasonal ingredients. Served in the sociable settings of our dining rooms, meals can also be taken in the privacy of residents’ rooms.

Residents’ dietary requirements are carefully noted upon admission and strictly observed by the kitchen team, with flexible and varied daily menus that celebrate the abundance of local, high quality produce.

Private rooms, home comforts

Bedroom

Built in 2020, Rose Garden benefits from spacious, bright bedrooms where residents can truly make themselves at home. Residents are welcome to change the decor of their room, including furniture, pictures and personal effects - enhanced familiarity and comforts can make an immeasurable difference to an individual’s mood and outlook.

Guarding against falls, bedrooms are continually monitored with discreet infra red sensor technology, whilst en-suite bathrooms are appointed and equipped to the highest safety and accessibility standards.

A refreshing approach to exceptional care

Whilst Rose Garden’s integrated model is a refreshing approach to care that achieves positive outcomes by enabling residents to mix more freely, the fundamentals remain true to Allegra Care’s central philosophy. By combining companionship and compassionate care, we celebrate and encourage the individual’s capabilities whilst prioritising their dignity, privacy and individuality.
