To celebrate International Dog Day, our Cherry Blossom Care Home in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire hosted its very first Dog Show, and it was an overwhelming success. Over 20 dogs participated across 10 different categories, with each winner receiving homemade treats, handmade rosettes, and fun dog toys.
Homemade Treats and Handmade Rosettes
Our residents had a blast crafting the treats for the winners, using a variety of vegetables in the baking process. They also showcased their creative skills by making beautiful rosettes, impressing everyone with their handiwork.
A Distinguished Judging Panel
We were delighted to welcome Stacey from the local dog hydrotherapy centre, who joined two residents and a staff member on the judging panel. Their expertise and passion for dogs added to the event's success.
A New Tradition
The event was such a hit that we've introduced a regular Canine Café, so we can enjoy even more time with our furry friends. We look forward to many more exciting dog-related activities in the future!
We were also thrilled to be featured on the BBC website!
