Dunwood Manor Nursing Home's activities in May

Residents and staff at Dunwood Manor Nursing Home had a whale of a time in May with trips out of the Home, birthday celebrations, and extra special crafting activities.

Celebrating residents’ birthdays & baking for success

To kick May off, we were pleased to wish one of our residents, Anna, a happy 100th birthday! It’s a wonderful milestone and we were so happy to celebrate with Anna!

The residents at Dunwood got involved in some healthy competition as we enjoyed “The Great Dunwood Manor Bake Off”. With rolling pins in hand, it was great to see many of our residents trying their hand at baking.

Of course, the best part was once the sweet treats were baked and everyone got to enjoy the fruits of their labour!

Arts and crafts trip

We also had the pleasure of taking some of our residents to Poppies Crafts in Timsbury. Painting, sticking and working with different types of fabrics - our residents had a great time.

Having trips outside the home, as well as celebrating milestones and having fun each day are important parts of life at Dunwood Manor. Our care team are always organising events, and love the chance to take our residents out to experience something new!
