As part of the highly-rated care we provide in Hampshire, our residents experience regular trips away from the home.
Giving our residents new adventures and experiences is an important part of residential care, regardless of whether it's for respite care or long-term support.
Visiting furry friends at a local farm
Our team love taking our residents to the farm as there's always so much to do; whether it's petting fluffy animals like goats, looking at cute baby farm animals as they go about their business or feeding the animals themselves!
In August, our activities coordinator, Penny, took our residents out to Longdown Dairy Farm in Southampton for lots of fun farm activities.
Being close to the animals and seeing our residents build special bonds during feeding time is always a positive sign that the trip was a success.
After a day of cooing at, petting and feeding the animals, our residents were tired out when they finally returned to Dunwood Manor.
Activities that support quality care
We know what it takes to give our residents the care that not only supports their daily activities, but also makes them happy!
Activities, entertainment and regular excursions are vital in keeping our residents active and stimulated throughout their stay with us. Our activities co-ordinator, Penny, does a great job of creating as many opportunities as time will allow for our residents to have fun!
