Halterworth Choir entertain Cedar Lawn Residents

Halterworth School Choir entertain residents and help celebrate a birthday

Residents at Cedar Lawn Nursing Home in Romsey were treated to a special visit from the talented Halterworth School Choir. The children performed some of their favourite songs alongside festive Christmas classics, filling the home with joy and cheerful melodies.

A Special Birthday Celebration

The visit was made even more memorable as residents and the choir came together to celebrate Betty’s birthday. Everyone joined in a heartwarming rendition of Happy Birthday, making it a truly special moment for Betty, who was delighted to have such a wonderful celebration.

Reconnecting with Familiar Faces

For another resident, Joan, the day brought an unexpected surprise. She recognised and happily chatted with several of the children, who used to be her neighbours. Overjoyed by the reunion, Joan thanked everyone for organising the event and giving her the opportunity to see familiar faces once again. Moments like these highlight the importance of community connections and the joy they bring.

Delicious Treats to End the Day

Following the choir’s fantastic performance, the kitchen team at Cedar Lawn served a delicious afternoon tea, featuring a beautifully made birthday cake for Betty. The residents enjoyed the tea and cake together, rounding off a perfect afternoon of music, celebration, and connection.
