Blossom Fields in Winterbourne, Bristol, marked International Women’s Day with a joyful celebration honouring the strength, resilience, and achievements of women across generations. Residents were treated to a relaxing morning of pampering, complete with hand massages, manicures, and sweet treats to enjoy together.
A Thoughtful Tribute to the Ladies of Blossom Fields
The morning was filled with laughter and relaxation as the ladies enjoyed gentle hand massages and fresh manicures provided by the dedicated team. Gentlemen were warmly welcomed too, making the occasion a celebration for all.
Adding to the atmosphere were beautifully decorated cupcakes, lovingly prepared for the day. Our heartfelt thanks go to the incredible staff who ensured the event was special, inclusive, and memorable for everyone involved.
Honouring Women’s History and Strength
International Women’s Day, celebrated globally each year on 8 March, began in New York City in 1857 when female textile workers staged a protest demanding fair pay and better working conditions. It marked one of the first organised strikes by working women, laying the foundation for the global movement that continues today.
As Maya Angelou so powerfully said, "When a woman stands up for herself, she stands up for all women." At Blossom Fields, we are proud to stand with and celebrate the women in our care, recognising their journeys and contributions throughout their lives.
