Celebrating the Queen's Jubilee at Waverley Lodge Nursing Home

At the beginning of June our residents, family and staff celebrated the Platinum Jubilee in style.

Our Waverley Lodge care team love putting on events for residents and families, especially when the weather holds out and everyone can enjoy the home's tranquil grounds! Waverley Lodge is one of our Hampshire homes that benefits from 12 acres of beautiful surroundings, so it's always a pleasure to host an event when the sun makes an appearance!

Before the first event kicked off, our care team had to fuel up for the week ahead, and what better way than with a celebratory McDonald's? We're sure it's what the Queen would have wanted!

To celebrate the Platinum Jubilee, there were a variety of events throughout the week, from BBQs in the sunshine and Jubilee-themed cupcake decorating within the home, to a fabulous Jubilee Karaoke Street Party where friends and family were invited to celebrate with their loved ones!

When our residents weren't singing along to their favourite songs, there was an array of buffet food waiting to be tucked into! A Waverley Lodge party isn't complete without a brilliant buffet organised by our wonderful team and chefs.

Everyone had a great time and, as always, a huge thank you goes out to the wonderful team who make these events possible. Providing our residents with regular, engaging activities is part and parcel of the high-quality care Allegra Care homes provide, and the Waverley Lodge team did a wonderful job!
