Magdalen House Care Home Summer Fete
On the 11th of August, we held our highly anticipated summer fete at Magdalen House Care Home in Ipswich, Suffolk, and what a fantastic day it turned out to be! Residents, families, and members of the wider community all came together to enjoy the festivities.
Incredible prizes donated by the local community
Our amazing staff played a vital role in the event, not only assisting on stalls but also participating as stall holders. The day was filled with fun activities, including a raffle with incredible prizes and a Tombola, which was a crowd favourite.
Wonderful Singer
The external stalls also did brilliantly, and the atmosphere was perfectly complemented by the wonderful singer Bee Gore, who captivated everyone with her heartfelt performance while guests indulged in delicious refreshments and cakes.
Competition
One of the highlights of the day was the Guess the Weight of the Cake competition. The cake, lovingly made and donated by one of our resident's granddaughters, featured a picture of our home and was truly a work of art. After much excitement, our very own deputy manager, Lesley, was the lucky winner!
Thanks to the support of everyone involved, the event raised an impressive £400.
