Our residents, Betty & Ollie Fox and Dot & Lily Llama, from our Cedar Lawn Nursing Home in Romsey, Hampshire enjoyed a delightful day out with Shawn's Tours, visiting the picturesque Silkstead Sunflowers in Hursley. The morning was perfect, with a clear blue sky and fluffy white clouds.
A Day of Sunshine and Smiles
The residents had a wonderful time exploring the sunflower field, taking photos, and enjoying the beauty of nature. The vibrant colors of the sunflowers created a cheerful and uplifting atmosphere.
A Relaxing Break
After their adventure among the sunflowers, the group enjoyed a relaxing break on some hay bales. They sipped tea, shared stories about growing sunflowers, and simply soaked up the peaceful surroundings.
A Memorable Souvenir
As part of the admission fee, each resident was able to cut three sunflower stems to bring back to Cedar Lawn. The sunflowers were a beautiful addition to our home, bringing a touch of sunshine to our residents' day.
