Upcycled Fashion Show a Big Hit at Olive Tree House and Rose Garden

Upcycled Fashion Show

What started as one big idea blossomed into a two-month-long project, culminating in a spectacular Macmillan Fundraising Upcycled Fashion Show at both of our care homes in Patchway, Bristol - Olive Tree House and Rose Garden!

Upcycled Fundraising Fashion

The first show, held at Olive Tree House, was a true community affair. The catwalk was graced by residents, team members, volunteers, family, college students, and even the adorable children from Happy Days Nurseries. The outfits were incredible, crafted by residents from recycled materials. Old clothes were given new life with vibrant buttons and painted designs, and a giant plastic bottle made from recycled bottles was created to highlight the issue of plastic waste. The fun continued with a "summer holiday" theme, complete with a lively walk-on to the tune of “We’re All Going on a Summer Holiday”! Other songs included classics like "Vogue," "Earth Song," and "New York, New York," adding to the festive atmosphere.

A Show-Stopping Thank You

The fashion show was just as much of a hit at Rose Garden, where the second show took place. At the end of the second show, a moment was taken to thank everyone involved in this amazing project. We extend a special thanks to June, a professional photographer who donated her time and skills to capture the event—the photos are truly fantastic!
