Residential care in Suffolk

Suffolk is an ageing county. Over 23% of the population is aged 65 or over, and healthy life expectancy (the number of years living free of illness) is decreasing. As a result, the need for high-quality residential care has never been greater. Located in the charming historic market town of Hadleigh, less than ten miles from Ipswich, Magdalen House Care Home is perfectly placed to provide exceptional nursing, dementia and respite care in luxurious surroundings.

Purpose-built in 2012, the home offers 53 single occupancy rooms, including six larger assisted living suites, with outstanding care options for single residents and couples. Under the guidance of registered manager Nicky Josselyn, compassionate, person-centred care is delivered by a dedicated team of highly experienced nursing staff.

What is residential care?

Tailored to each individual’s requirements, residential care is a comprehensive package of support and care, delivered in a care home setting. Basic day-to-day needs, such as washing, mobility assistance, dressing and nursing, are attended to as part of a holistic programme of care, established in collaboration with the resident and their loved ones upon admission. This care package is regularly reviewed to meet changing needs as they evolve over time, with any changes agreed with the resident and their family before being implemented.
