Magdalen House Care Home Testimonials

testimonial

I couldn't be happier that my dad lives in Magdalen House. It's a friendly, professionally run place, full of people who care. They treat him with utter respect, ensure he eats properly, encourage him to take part in activities and, if it's needed, make sure he's seen by a doctor. I would absolutely recommend it, without reservation.

My mum has been a resident for almost a year now and I'm happy with the care she receives. Nothing is too much trouble, and they really seem to think a lot of her. Her words are 'the food is nice, and the staff are lovely'. It has made a huge change since the lovely activities staff joined; they have made a big change to my mum.

From our initial contact with the manager and her team we felt confident, listened to and reassured that an important family member was going to get the care, love and attention that they required. The communication we have already had in addition to the actions we have witnessed from the team confirmed our initial and first impressions. This care home goes above and beyond and is simply outstanding.

My stay at Magdalen House was for one week only while my carer was on holiday. I was treated kindly, thoughtfully and with skill and friendliness. My room was very pleasant and cleaned regularly and thoroughly. I have many happy memories of the staff and would certainly be quite happy to stay there again.

My sister and brother-in-law moved into Magdalen House Care Home in January. The move was well organised and both new residents settled very quickly. My brother-in-law required 24-hour care and this was provided with professionalism accompanied by good humour whilst maintaining dignity. The staff have met some challenging situations very calmly and have the residents’ interests at the heart of their care.

Overall experience resoundingly positive. Staff lovely and very attentive to needs of residents, treating them with dignity and respect. Organised activities very good, in particular 'alpaca day' was quite extraordinary! For me it was quite emotional to see the positive effect that this had on many of the residents, in particular my own mother. When Mother's health took a turn for the worse, the immediate response was admirable. A few minor shortcomings, but when brought to attention of management these were effectively dealt with. Big thank you.
