Residents and staff at Fairmile Grange had a lovely day celebrating their favorite childhood confidants: teddy bears! National Teddy Bear Day was a charming event, filled with music, memories, and cuddly friends.
A Musical Morning
The day began with a lively 'Music Hour' and 'Name that Tune' session. Allan and Eric entertained everyone with renditions of many beloved songs, all with the help of their cuddly friends. The teddy bears seemed to enjoy the music as much as the residents!
A Teddy Bears' Picnic
Barbara kindly looked after a couple of Andrea's bears and decided they needed a teddy bears' picnic. She brought them along to lunch, where they joined her for a special meal. Afterwards, Barbara took her new friends back to her room to introduce them to her own cherished collection of bears.
Afternoon Reflections
In the afternoon, residents enjoyed some mindful teddy bear colouring. As they focused on their creative activity, they shared stories about their favourite childhood bears, reminiscing about the special role these cuddly companions played in their lives.
