Sensory Fun and Musical Magic at Fordingbridge

Fordingbridge residents enjoying music and sensory session

The morning at our Fordingbridge Care Home in Hampshire was transformed into a vibrant world of colour and sound as residents enjoyed a wonderful sensory and music session. We were delighted to welcome local artist Louisa and Katie from the MAST theatre group to lead this engaging experience.

A Journey for the Senses

The session was designed to stimulate the senses and encourage movement in a joyful, relaxed environment. Residents had the opportunity to handle a variety of tactile props, from beautiful, flowing scarves that danced through the air to soft, brightly colored feathers.

As they explored these textures, the room was filled with the sounds of their favourite musical artists. It wasn't long before everyone was singing along and moving to the beat!

Creativity, Colour, and Connection

The combination of tactile stimulation and familiar music created a wonderful atmosphere of creativity. The morning was characterised by plenty of laughter and smiles as residents and guests enjoyed each other's great company. It was a perfect example of how sensory activities can spark joy and foster a deep sense of well-being within our community.
